In October 2003, Kazushige Nojima, once an integral part of Final Fantasy production, resigned from Square Enix to form his own game scenario company, Stellavista. He partially or completely wrote the stories for Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2. Square continues to outsource story and scenario work to Nojima.

On May 31, 2004, a video of her cover version of Our Lips are Sealed by the Go-Gos with her sister Haylie Duff made its MTV debut. The song is from the soundtrack of A Cinderella Story.
